Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Credit Karma full-time for more than a year
Pros
- very friendly, talented and low ego coworkers - best-in-class product - #1 focus is our member experience even before revenue - competitive pay - benefits
Cons
- many top performers are being denied promotions for multiple cycles because of "restricted budget" while some teams get all of their staff promoted every year - no backfills for positions means that team is overextended - only 3 weeks of PTO while the industry standard is flexible time off (no cap) - leadership not open to WFH once covid ends - Chief People Officer's questionable stance on PTO, WFH, promotions

I have been working at Credit Karma full-time
Pros
Decent benefits, smart people, interesting work
Cons
You cannot work your way up here. No matter how much time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears you shed, no matter if you exceed expectations in your role. If there is not a very clearly defined “next step” for you, the company will swallow your life and give you nothing in return. I wish I had known this from the beginning: I could have avoided so much unnecessary stress, skipped lunches, late nights, weekends, and furious multitasking. I have nothing to show for the multiple years of my life that I poured into this company.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Credit Karma full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
1. Collaborative team members 2. TC was decent due to the recent acquisition
Cons
1. High attrition due to politics, growth, and cultural issues. Growth is limited for high performers unless you are willing to play politics. 2. CPO created terrible culture and constantly abets politics and nepotism. She is least reflective of Credit Karma values and brushes off feedback and complaints. Multiple complaints about harassment and discrimination have been ignored and dismissed without follow-ups and accountability. 3. Weak EC leadership lacking vision and strategy to drive business growth.
