Pros

Awesome people to work with, talented, motivated, intelligent. The team is a good team, dev team leaders and production are very good at their jobs too.

Cons

Those same amazing people are being horrendously abused by the owners (the Yerli brothers). Pay hasn't come on time, to all studios worldwide, and this has been occuring on and off since at least 2014, and I've heard of it having occured for years before that from longer-term employees. When they can afford to pay everyone, they have been known to re-coup the missing pay, I'll give them that much. The problem is that they tell people everything will be fine by "this date" or "that date", which really means - this is the day they expect to hear some new about some deal they have going on. Those deals often fall-through or get re-written in different language, people can't survive not knowing when they'll get paid or not. The terrible thing is the owners will lash back out when employee lash out about not having received pay. They'll suggest that employees should have saved their money better to survive the turmoil. Ridiculous. See advice to management below:

Company gambles with the salaries and lives of its employees

Pros

-The pay isn't that bad -There were some fun office perks like free coffee and drinks (but that's pretty much expected these days) -The developers really care about the projects they're working on

Cons

The company is managed horribly. Take a look at the recent bad press and realize that everything being said is true. For a long period, Crytek stopped paying its employees and just kept saying "Thank you for your loyalty as we move through this difficult time." Any company that can't pay its employees on time is a company you don't want to work for. There's also been a mass exodus of talent that's going to really hurt Crytek's ability to put out quality products.

Pros

Indeed still some talented people working in this studio, but it could change in the next weeks. How long will they work without salaries being paid?

Cons

Crytek's quote of "Crytek global domination" ended as a silly self-destruction. -No good plan for the future. I would say no any plan which is better than the current one. -people are sad, quiet and demotivated, some leaving the company, many talking about it. -Many people working on old hardware, including very old 24 inch monitors. -Open space working environment and very noisy. Difficult to concentrate on work in such conditions. People walking around, talking aloud, like in a pub. Promises, hopes and requests that we keep being quiet and not talk about Crytek problems outside the company - how long can you be quiet?
