-Family health insurance is cost prohibitive -Management/ HR implement policies and later make excuses as to why they don't follow through with them. -Absolutely no follow through on promises if goals are met. -Very little chance of getting performance based or cost of living raises. -No opportunity for advancement within the company if you excel in your position. If you ask for further compensation due to this they will tell you "show us another job offer and we will take it into consideration". -Very little training for new employees and historically speaking if you cannot figure things out on your own they will let you go in short order. -Management constantly hires individuals who are not qualified to do the job which makes your job more difficult.

No job security as the company struggles to complete projects on time and has a high rate of turnover due to poor management, pay and treatment of employees. (Lackluster reliability due to rushed designs that cannot be tested properly because funding isn't available to purchase the proper equipment.) Constant stacking of priorities so you will always struggle to keep your head above water, management does not understand that one person is not capable of doing every task by themselves and time needs to be given to complete what's currently in queue instead of bouncing around from task to task then complaining about lack of progress, there's no planning whatsoever so every decision is made in the moment without considering the bigger picture.

-Rising health care cost (Used to be provided at no cost). -Management will deceive you and not care if you point out the fact that you know they are lying. -Engineering is the only part of the company that receives competitive compensation and raises. -They hire unskilled individuals to increase body count then expect thoughput to increase and when it doesn't they will ask you to work more hours to take up the slack.

* Moving into more new responsibilities/ job title does not mean more pay * Most of the workers that work there have been there a long time, but with minimum pay raises * The management doesn't really believe in raises, they believe giving you the option to work as much overtime as you want is better (unless production is low then they will cut your hours)

The whole company has this low level of stress caused by generally poor management resulting in very tight deadlines, last minute changes, and incredibly poor communication. People are treated only as valuable as their output. My role after was so much better. Being treated as a person and no longer dealing with high stress/playing politics made such an improvement in my job satisfaction. It's a miracle anyone has stayed there without realizing there are greener pastures at pretty much any other job.

There is zero project management. There are sprint times where you work 60 hour weeks but expect to receive calls at 10pm for things that can wait. Hardware built on ancient technologies. Often causes many issues during implementation. Everybody seemingly can identify the problems that need to be solved. Any attempt to even start a discussion on how to fix the problem is met with stone walling. Continuous push to make things run faster and look better but trying new things is highly discouraged. Because of the number of technologies and cobbled together "solutions" it takes 3-6 months before you can understand the product. Management does not recognize the importance of existing employees. A common quote among employees is "If you want a raise, you have to give your notice." Management is cheap when providing for the staff but has no problem renovating the building continually.
