Cybsafe is a cautionary tale of a leadership team that cares more about looking and sounding good than the actual health of the business. A year of low performance and recent layoffs of good people should be ample warning signs. The CEO is an excellent guy and is very articulate, who he surrounds himself with dilutes the waters. While steps have been made to make the company more revenue orientated it feels like too little too late. They turn down interested customers because of a narrow ICP, and have a product that is struggling with direction between wanting to be cutting edge and modern but only really uses surveys and quizes . The product comes across as a nice to have, opposed to a need to have. Small total addressable market. They host webinars with interesting people but can't convince these people to actually purchase the product. I have worked for companies that claim they are rocketships, and companies that actually are. Cybsafe, despite its claims, is not a rocketship. CMO feels out of his depth.
