A Nightmare of a Workplace - Avoid at All Costs

Pros

Simply put, no amount of money can justify the chaos and toxicity at Cynosure. The pay might seem attractive at first glance, but trust me—it’s a thin veil over a deeply dysfunctional workplace. The management is a disaster, driven by self-interest and ego rather than actual leadership or care for their employees. The culture is not just bad—it’s a complete mess of unethical behavior, manipulation, and incompetence.

Cons

I had the unfortunate experience of working at Cynosure, and it’s hard to express just how deeply disappointing my time there was. The management team is not only unethical, but also self-serving and shockingly unprofessional. The blatant lack of diversity by hiring mostly from one ex company is repulsive! The top management team in Asia Pacific is made up of classic narcissists, unethical closers, and puppets. The company is run by a group of individuals who seem more like a circus than a leadership team. If you ever hear of an opening at Cynosure, my advice is to run—don’t walk—away. Don’t let them waste your time, energy, or sanity. This place is a disaster for anyone who values professionalism, integrity, or even basic respect in the workplace.

Worst marketing department I've ever worked in

Pros

some great people, nice office

Cons

Total dog and pony show. They say what they want you to hear/need to say to make it look like a great place to work. I cannot speak for other departments, but for a department that turns over about 13-17 people with a year screams UPPER MANAGEMENT FAILURE. They play favorites and if you don't fit into their idea of what they want you to be (cut throat, pretentious, brown-nosing) then they find a way to get rid of you. Lack of communication is enormous. Then the lower-on-the-totem-poles get the blame for managements lack of direction and clarity. The lack of HR's and the president's acknowledgment of this continued issue in the marketing depts upper management, shows that they only care about the bottom line over and over. It had so much potential. I was so disappointed in how things really ran there. I now have zero respect for every individual in that Marketing departments management. The lack of decency and respect for their employees shows in each of their true character. Very glad I am now removed from being in that environment.
