Pros

Product innovation and ideas are good but impacted by poor execution and corporate strategy. Great product team and local colleagues who goes above and beyond to help each other.

Cons

1. Senior Mgmt does not understand how APJ region works and just wanting to see numbers in first year when brand is quite new in region where most prospects have not heard of Cyware. 2. POC process is cumbersome and manual and the irony is that one of the products is SOAR and automation is a key marketing message. Each POC feels like a complex be-spoke project by itself whereby backend resources required to support were overwhelmed. 3. Whole APAC team was let go over Xmas due to no deals being closed not considering the fact that the company is new in APAC for only 1 year and that getting deals in APAC requires relationship building and trust with customer over time. Considering that some partners and customers were keen and starting to gain trust and traction which could have closed over the next year, the region closure was pretty abrupt and corporate literally abandon the region with no plans to inform partners and customers, throwing the responsibility to laid off team to communicate. 4. Lies told by product team SLT on certain stuff being and tested for customers in other region as case studies which the APAC team believed to be true and started preaching to prospects only to find out that those so called case studies are just based on paper-based theories later and never actually implemented into practice. 5. Local management actually knows about corporate having concerns with APJ team 6 months before being let go, yet did not share the concerns with the team, whereby collectively as a team, could have strategised to resolve. Insisted that everything was "going well". Furthermore, still insisted to go from 3rd party HR firm to local business entity whereby the terms and conditions changed for the worse with the local business entity conversion and some leave balances were lost as results of discrepancies from that conversion, which HR refused to payout after the team was let go.

Pros

Work remotely , decent work salary Good and friendly backend colleagues who are usually overworked with fatigue.

Cons

Management from India and does not want to listen to Singapore team opinions similar to what is mentioned by some other U.S base ex employees. Horrible poc process - manual form filling at Salesforce with no automation despite being a company that have orchestration gateway in the product. Every poc becomes a painful customized project itself that requires time and effort which eats the life and energy away from the hardworking backend team. C level have poor assessment of the APJ sales strategy which they could have made the adjustment in 6 months period. They close down the whole apj team after a year This highlighted another flaw of the short sightedness of the C level who could have made the adjustment to the sales strategy. By closing the apj team causes unnecessary cautioness of purchasing good products from startups in the whole of Apj region. HR is the worst of the lots. Despite the brewing dissatisfaction on apj team from c level in Sept 2022, the ground staff were totally not made known to the fact and ask to switch from global hr company to a Cyware registered local business entity and forfeit the leaves of some staffs who are deem as serving less than 3 months contractually despite actually working much much longer than that. Thus not having to pay any accrued leaves base on legal contract. Well played! Goodbye Cyware from Apj. Please don't ever come back.
