Pros

I did not come across any pros within the company. Right from scheduling interview to my exit I've had all kind bitter experience.

Un-professional behavior by the top management The topmost factor is the un-professional behavior by the top management. There is only one success mantra in this company. If you have “somebody as a godfather” at the top; you can achieve anything. People with meager communication skills, zero knowledge of their respective portfolios have got continuous increments and promotions. Reason being the favoritism based upon language & culture. If you can speak your HOD’s native language; or if you can lick their boots; then you need not worry about your work. All you have to do is just sitting idle in front of these people opening your legs wide and gossip about other team members. You need not prove yourself to be worth of a promotion or increment; you just have to prove other people useless. Forget about verbal communication; even if you write some professional email to your seniors regarding the discrimination you are facing; you expect them to intervene; but surprisingly the addressee who has spent more than 15 years in the company will make fun of your email and will forward it to all the irrelevant people (Even to your juniors) mentioning that “I will read this email once I go on my next vacation”. No need to work; just show off is required If you can follow the success mantra; you can just show off that you are sitting beyond office hours or coming to office on holidays (please note I have mentioned just “coming to office & not working”). It doesn’t matter whether you are actually working or just surfing internet or even playing minesweeper / solitaire. Added advantage is the fuel or taxi bills plus enormous food bills which you can claim. Performance appraisals Performance appraisals or KPI meet records have no impact on the annual increments or other emoluments. These documents are stored just for submitting to the agencies announcing DQA/MRM or other awards. Actual employee caliber is based upon already explained above skills. Fraudsters and people having criminal backgrounds have already reached up to top levels. Honest people are still surviving with very low salary and no recognition at all. One thing they can get is a “Dedicated services award” which is just a paper certificate without any monetary value given during a lavish annual party. No defined process Either a company can be process driven or people driven. This unique place is enjoying a mixed culture. If you are a junior level employee who is genuinely handling a workload of 2-3 employees; all the processes and eligibility criteria’s will be applicable to you. Daily you have to work like donkeys till midnight. You have to survive with a small Sandwich/Falafel at 11 PM because your manager is very process oriented. He can not allow your dinner bill beyond 15/- DHS. Next morning again you have to reach office in time otherwise you may face salary deduction also. However; if you are having XYZ people sitting at top as “Godfather” in support of you; you can even claim a full lamb for your own dinner. You can give a treat to all your family or friends on the company expense. Approved as a special case for endless cases There is always a scope of “Approved as a special case” if you have somebody to sign blindly your liquor and prostitution bills during official travels or so called official parties at dance bars. You can offer garlands and crowns to the dancers at a night club and next day morning you can easily get signed your 10,000/- DHS bill from the top officials because it is totally a business meeting. You can get signed off your unjustified grade change letters, increments, hidden bonuses, new mobile instruments, family outings… etc. etc. etc. very easily. (Please note this list of special case approvals is very innovative and you can add as much as kinds of things which no other company can approve.) If some honest employee will question about the genuinity of these expenses, you can always hide behind the name of your godfather. You don’t even need to explain anything. Then the person raising query will be called by the top management and he himself will be raped like a Bollywood movie. In some cases; if that person is smart enough to convince the management about your misdoings; still you need not worry. That person himself will be advised by the management to deal the matter diplomatically since you are very close to so & so person. Ultimately; you can still enjoy the privilege of “Approved as a special case” in future also for the same kind of recreational things. Discrimination in emoluments irrespective of seniority, experience and grade Company paid fully furnished accommodation can be given to you and your family if you qualify for the previously mentioned success mantra irrespective of your grade, experience and eligibility. Plus you will also get some “sealed envelopes containing cash” at the end of the year which no other employees will get to know. This hidden bonus will neither be announced officially nor there is any defined criteria for the other employees to achieve it. It simply depends upon your boot licking skills. On the other hand; this can never be applied for others who wish to keep their family with them even at their own costs. They will be told; “If you want to keep your family with you here in UAE; it is your luxury not a necessity. Company is operating on very tight cash position and we can neither afford your accommodation nor enough amount of HRA.” No job security at all You can never rest assured about your job at this place. One fine morning; all of a sudden you may be asked to resign because some other person with no work at all was continuously back biting against you. HOD will just support the person with his own mother tongue. The best part is; you will not even get any particular reason for the decision and nobody will be interested to even think of your family or other financial difficulties. No matter how old you were in the company; even after working for 5 years/ 10 years at the same post without any considerable hike; your job is not secured if you don’t follow the success mantra. The root cause Last but not the least; not just the current HOD’s but also the person who is sitting above all of them, the highest salary getter; he himself is taking all the possible efforts to spread more and more discrimination. Only two kinds of people can make him happy: either who can speak his native language or who can provide him as much information as possible about other employees. This very aged and respectable person is bribing the office boys just to know which person is going how many times to the washroom. If you have some genuine health issue and need to drink water several times a day; you can be issued a warning letter for not utilizing the office hours properly for work. However if you are a chain smoker or a regular drunkard; you can take frequent breaks or sick leaves; then you need not worry about anything else (T&C apply; please go through the success mantra again) There is much more to write but Glassdoor itself would be having some limit of words per review. Please have some patience and wait for some other people posting their experiences.

Salary on time. Fair duty hours

Cons

If you know the language of your HOD, you can survive here. Specially in accounts dept. No recognition for your work. Managers are more than real workers. If you are close to GM, no one can touch you. Audit department is really waste here. They work by seeing face , not docs.
