Pros

Location! Probably the only O&G operator still able to drill in Offshore California, the knowledge and experience gained is valuable. Living in Coastal CA is very nice experience.

Cons

Poor work life balance for compare to other Oil & Gas operators (example: minimal observance on federal holidays, no 9/80 schedule), fewer benefits, bonuses really varies between teams across the company, from zero bonus in one team to decent in other. Professional development is non-existent, good old boys club, no

DCOR takes care of their employees, finds opportunities for advancement, and operates at a high level.

Cons

DCOR is based in California. While many employees travel into the state to work for DCOR, California holds the only jobs for DCOR and the industry is constantly attacked by the state.
