Pros

Big name on paper, a window of opportunity to work with large clients. With many talented & seasoned people, resources are made available for projects. Some but rare: Leaders will stand up for the team & motivate employees in meaningful ways, but often their hands are tied too.

Cons

NO career progression & NO performance reviews. You will be surprised to see a big name runs the company in such a sketchy system. Basically, a big local sweatshop, not open/honest about its plans and operations. Not a “people culture” place, management is distant from what's happening on the ground, yet HODs have no say about critical decisions regarding their own team. 'Because I Said So' management practices, you are seen as the problematic one when you voice up. Eventually, people give up voicing out. Backward advertising practices and refusing to think forward, everything is still about impressing the client with a “big idea”, not competitive when smaller “digital/social” agencies springing up everywhere. Creatives are overworked because bosses tend to oversell with empty promises and sales talk. Eventually, that became a norm across the account team too.

Pros

Part of a larger holding company.

Cons

Management is dated. Profit trumps everything. Lack of diversity and worldly view. Extremely local.

Pros

It has a family culture and the focus is all about doing good work. The integration factor is very strong

Cons

They are a pretty hardworking agency, who would roll up their sleeves and get things done. If you are looking for a cushy role, it's not the place to be
