Thanks for the feedback and we are pleased to learn that you enjoy the day shift and your co-workers. A few thoughts and objective data about your notes above: You will absolutely be compensated for any company meetings that require your attendance. If there is a meeting that you request of us to discuss any personal issues, we are always happy to accomodate your time and be available for you, although it will likely not be compensated as it's non-work time. We will always abide by the regulations/guidance set forth in the collective bargaining agreement. If you have any questions about how that CBA affects you, please see your union steward or stop by HR and HR will be happy to assist you. Darley is excited to offer top wages in the Chippewa Valley. For several years in a row, Darley has been at the top of the list for employers who pay premium hourly rates as well as offer numerous employer-paid benefits. If you'd like more information on how your wages compare to other employers in the region, please see HR. As always, we appreciate your feedback and comments. We are incredibly proud of our HR department and of your hard work at W.S. Darley.

Pros

“Supporting those who serve” is a great mission. Company is flexible. There is incredible potential at Darley. If you are motivated, you can really make an impact for the company and yourself. Company is financially sound. Success or failure is truly in the employees hands, there are not fences keeping you from white space.

Cons

Processes are antiquated, too far behind technologically for a company with so much potential. Management doesn’t know what is going on within the organization. They are focusing too high-level and missing many opportunities that are in front of them by not being more involved at the ground level. Management is too hands-off from sales teams. Commission structure is a joke and needs to be more streamlined and easy to calculate from the employees point of view in order to create trust between sales reps and Darley team. Too many Darley’s at Darley. Many are in positions that further add to the distrust between employees and pay structure and things simply not getting done (when you are family in a family run company there is a certain level of comfort which takes away from “go-Getter’s” motivation).

Pros

Union shop Building is nice and climate controlled Fellow shop employees are more than willing to hep when you need it.

Cons

Management is poor. lots of people given power that shouldn't have it. Health insurance is not good at all. Vacation policy is stuck in the 1980s takes way to long to get time off, and week blocks are worthless in this day and age. Skilled labor positions make same as non-skilled positions. Yearly raises don't keep up with inflation so we are continually making less and less money each year. More product is going out the door now more than ever with less people in turn is more work and no more pay.
