      Pathetic place to work

      Pros

      None - the company's culture is toxic to the core (at least its singapore office). Run by an insecure megalomaniac desperate to micro-manage every facet of your life, there's no room for growth. A sweatshop to collect a paycheck from with no hope of progression or increments as business model is driven on slave labour

      Cons

      There's nothing right about this firm to begin with - long hours, low pay, immature superiors. I wouldn't take anything seriously.

      Singapore Leadership has issues

      - Unique technology service offering. - Great Global accounts - Agile and enterprising company (in UK)

      Cons

      It is clear when you filter the Glassdoor results between UK and Singapore, and you note the obvious difference between ratings. Although Singapore has small sample size, it has consistently been rated poorly. Under current leadership the Singapore Thomsons culture will never be like the vibrant UK office. At best Singapore office is more of a back office support to UK - they help implement global accounts. Singapore office does not generate revenue..and its a cost centre. While there's been gallant attempts to go the market and showcase Thomsons. Most damaging is that Singapore leadership does not have credibility in the market.

      We strive to create a unique Thomsons culture globally which we're immensely proud of, but of course there will always be local variations of dynamics and atmosphere. Our Singapore office has been initially set up to drive global delivery, 10 years ago. The high number of successful project deliveries in the region from that moment on have set in place the credibility to turn towards the regional and global sales initiatives.       Senior leadership has bad strategic planning Mid level management has no leadership skills, no direction, make decisions based on a whim. No career development No proper performance reviews No feedbacks cause corporate high horses Bad salary
