Pros

The company is filled with talented people and on a personal level all great to associate with. Remote positions are great and allows for flexibility in your day-to-day. Be responsible and open about obligations and you should be OK.

Cons

If you miss high school, DataBank IMX might be the place for you. You've got the various clubs - drama, band, science, etc. which are siloed departments. There is little awareness on where or how things are going unless you're part of the 'in crowd'. You know you're part of the 'in crowd' by the peer recognition system or 'Kudos' given on the one of the company's Slack channels. To be fair, everyone joins in with reactions/emojis but the cheerleading comments are reminiscent of the various cliques in high school. And I've gotten my fair share of kudos. Stressful - There are a ton of unsaid expectations of the employee base which can make for a stressful environment. Majority of projects never meet timelines which can lead to burnout of employees. Comp time is available but rarely ever given unless you ask for it or are part of the 'in crowd'. Unrealistic - Project timelines are unrealistic to say the least. We live in a world of CO's. The vicious cycle breeds that stressful environment. Egotistical - Middle tier leadership expects obedience and tries to form a blockade from senor/executive management. Those with innovative ideas usually receive no credit as the ideas are funneled upwards and the messenger is regarded as brain child. Disconnected - With everything mentioned above, one may be able to recognize the disconnects. Tenured employees like myself have tried to bridge the gaps but the resistance is strong. It's by design and has been that way for years. One has to wonder what is the intent of leadership and what does that say about their skills.

Pros

Working with intelligent, passionate peers is always refreshing. Remote positions help work/life balance if you know how to disconnect.

Cons

Where to begin. Watching talented people push the round robin door takes a toll on morale. At any moment the person you are emailing may return a NLWD at the end of their name - No Longer with DataBank. It's sad that it becomes normal. Leadership severely lacks diversity and inclusion. By far the most male driven culture I've ever encountered and I've been in corporate America for quite a long time. What Leadership is there is clearly not cut out for the role. Aggression, cliques, gossiping - I agree with the high school analogy.

Pros

I have a job. Close to home. My direct manager is fair, considerate and hard a worker.

Cons

Right before christmas databank informed the employees that they were not it matching our 401k and it is to be determined whether they will ever match it again. They took away the holidays from employees that work specific hours so they don't have to pay them for the holiday. We haven't had a raise in years. Most of us are hard workers and they say they appreciate us but they don't show it in our paycheck. We really don't need the junk food they give us we need to pay our bills.
