A good idea ruined by toxic leaders

Pros

Hey, at least there's tons of trauma bonded former colleagues now

Cons

This is hands down the most abusive environment I've ever had the displeasure to work in, all created by the married cofounders. The number of extremely talented, passionate employees they have chewed through over the years is astounding. They berate, belittle, snap at, emotionally abuse, and manipulate their employees. They pick people to pick on and make their lives miserable, until that person is fired/laid off/leaves, then repeat the cycle over and over and over again. Multiple employees who have worked here have had to undergo therapy because of how they were treated. I have never seen cofounders with such open disrespect for their own employees, and they speak to everyone behind closed doors (AKA when customers aren't present) as if their employees are the stupidest people in the world, and only they know the right answers. For a company with such high ideals about creating diverse, equitable companies, they have created a toxic environment that is fundamentally at odds operationally with the values they pretend to care about. It's extremely disappointing, because with different leadership this company could have been something really amazing.
