I’ll say this when leadership loses touch with the people they claim to support, it shows. You’ve got a GM who preaches loyalty and unity, but I’d bet money he couldn’t walk through the store and name ten employees without a name tag better yet can’t even tell you their kids NAMES!! He’s rarely present, barely involved, yet expects to be worshipped like some untouchable figure. Gratitude should be mutual not demanded.
If you can stomach working under someone who confuses leadership with control, you can make money there. But don’t expect inspiration. Don’t expect growth. Just know exactly what you’re signing up for a place where performance matters less than obedience, and where presence is optional… if you’re at the top.
