Pros

People are nice and the company culture is great. My direct boss was really nurturing, gave me great guidance and room to grow and develop.

Cons

It tends to be hierarchal wherein the senior management doesn't mingle much. Could either blame the country's work culture. (Philippines)

Japanese management is unfair

Pros

Stable company but no advancement

Cons

New management (joined 2021) treated long service senior management employees unfairly by terminating staff who worked for more than 30 years with notice equivalent to managers who worked only 1 year and without giving reasons. Don’t trust nor respect staff.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, however, we believe that this review is meant for Fresh Del Monte Produce, and not Del Monte Foods Inc. which is only located in the US and Mexico. These are two separate companies.

Pros

The company is filled with many great people (though fewer by the day...), and benefits from its iconic brands. There is a desire to improve future prospects.

Cons

Long history of poor high-level financial expectation management that precedes and encompasses current administration. As a result, the company's ability to maintain a stable path toward growth is frequently challenged. After several years under current ownership, the best explanation of the board's objectives is "cut costs". There is no shared vision or defined path to the future. This company easily has 3-5 years of rough sailing ahead (fiscal 2017 through 2020, at least).
