Leadership Needs To Change

Pros

The people who want to be there are great. The work can be satisfying and meaningful. You get to play with fun new products.

Cons

Company is on the verge bankruptcy all too often. Layoffs often. Below market pay and no raises over years. CEO is not present and appointed leadership is not the right fit or knowledgeable. Some employees give half effort, management is not strict enough against blatant bad work. Products have flaws that are acknowledged to not be fixed.

Pros

- Relatively fair base salary. - Some good people working there (Though mostly everyone has been laid off now in 2024). - Office is nice and has coffee

Cons

- Very high quota expectations (Multi-millions) with 0% leadership, support, or training whatsoever. - Company has no Marketing team (Anymore) and Sales Reps expected to do Marketing work along with their other duties, with no additional pay or support. - Products are mediocre and lower in quality than competitors (Axon, Motorola Solutions, etc..). Feels like trying to sell snake oil. - Customers regularly upset about paying for product and have no idea when they will be receiving it (Months behind!) - Sales reps dealing with support calls constantly because of malfunctioning product. Most of Support team have been laid off so there's literally no one at the company to handle the influx of support calls. - Drunks and gossips in VP and C-Suite roles at company. Culture feels overall toxic at times. In 2024, all but 3 or 4 people in the sales organization were laid off, including the Director of Sales. The President of the company hopped off the sinking ship along with other members of executive staff.
