Pros

Some great people, fun clients, dog-friendly office, and lots of office parties that were fun to attend.

Cons

Things used to be a lot more fun then they are now. Less social, a bit forced and awkward after layoffs. Management often says they don't know what's going on, which is not a good answer for an employee to hear.

Pros

You got to control the source code from the get go. They gave a great amount of freedom to get the job done.

Cons

Management would often have meetings justifying low pay. Benefits were very hard to exercise as they refused to approve anything prior to doing it, meaning you pay first, then they decide if it was worthy of being refunded. The management fought every single benefit, even a 20/wk benefit was called in question. There was also little in the way of collaboration. You were a lone wolf programmer. It was also not uncommon to have to work overtime, even though you are on salary. At least once a month I would need to put in almost an extra 8 hours.

Pros

Office space is really nice, the office is dog friendly so you can bring your pet and there is parking.

Cons

The company has poor structure and the culture is very sink or swim. Management, from the CEO to your day to day managers, aren't genuine or trustworthy at times. There's no transparency so you're in a constant state of worry. I couldn't imagine recommending anyone starting a career here or pretending they'd have any kind of career growth. All agencies have long hours, but Direct Partners over works their employees with little reward financially or even through encouragement. If you accept a job offer here I hope it's for an extremely high title with decent pay because that's the title you will have when you leave at the same pay grade because they do not like to grow from within.
