Pros

DirectDefense leadership is known for their cybersecurity knowledge. They are eager to take on any and all work in cybersecurity. I like the people I work with and they are fun to hang out with.

Cons

Ever since the big layoffs in April, I've been scared about my job. That's why I'm now looking. When I started DD was a progressive company. Now they seem to be desperate for work willing to do anything. Upper management has taken on worker roles rather than leading. They spend money on big parties rather than on taking care of employees. Also, they do little to help those junior in cybersecurity to develop their skills. I also have seen unethical behavior from top management in the way they conduct business. I say avoid until the company becomes more stable.

Pros

The money was good. This is the place that taught me that money definitely does not make the job.

Cons

Horrible leadership. It's almost laughable. By week 2 I hated my manager so much that I was concerned what would happen if I came face to face with him. For whatever reason, the sales people are the most looked after in the company. If they don't like you, you'll be fired, period. I've seriously never seen a more toxic place. This is the first time in my life that I quit a position with nothing else lined up.
