Pros

Coworkers were decent people who fell into a trap of a workplace. cant think of any other pros.

Cons

Terrible from top to bottom. Lots of screaming and crying. Nobody was happy. CEO liked you only if you worked 90 hours every week and had no life. They claim work/life balance but you needed to be available every day and weekends too. I spent my entire vacation on the phone working. Stress is through the roof. No one has any idea what they’re doing or what needs to be done. Shoestring budget for everything but CEO is a millionaire many times over. Office was dirty and old. CEO had a bad temper and would yell every day. Benefits were terrible, didn’t cover anything and too expensive. Turnover is insane. Someone got fired every week from main office. Salesforce was revolving door. Here today, gone tomorrow. Worst mistake I ever made was going to work there. Negative impact on my career, mental health and family life. Most coworkers were on anxiety and depression meds.

Pros

Costco Employees are very friendly

Cons

I have been a Costco member for many years and did not know that they had hard core sales people pushing products to their members in such an aggressive way. The tactics we have to use to get a member to buy a product is unbelievable for a member paid store. We are told to follow them in the pharmacy, approach them, stop them in the aisle, look in their carts for the same type of products and use high sales pressure tactics on the members to get them to buy. Getting members to buy is the only objective. Not educating them on the product so they can make a rational decision on their own. I am just not sure if Costco is aware of this...at least I hope they would not be...but who knows? If you are looking for a job at Costco or a sampling/marketing job I do not recommend this company. You are pressured to sale and are critiqued very much if you do not sale enough. You are never praised and the managers never give you proper training to help you reach those huge sales numbers they want. For the low pay, long hours on your feet and discouraging comments from management find another job! I am..

Pros

Honestly there are none. You stand on concrete for 6 to 8 hours. You also provide your own table that you drag in on your shift. Also more than not Costco has no idea your even going to be in their store on the days you work.

Cons

Disorganization. Unrealistic Quotas, not receiving pay.
