- Unfortunately, the only thing they can't improve is the management, because the managers aren't going to fire themselves, and they're not going to let themself be demoted. - The leadership is made up of scientists who would be better suited at doing science stuff than business management. - The leadership doesn't even understand how or why the management is bad. I don't expect it to get any better within 3 years, which is most likely going to end up killing Dispelix. If ALL the big issues aren't fixed by the make-or-break point of the AR industry, then Dispelix WILL break and fall. You can't have projects overrun their deadlines by months or years in the fast-paced tech industry. As illustration of bad management: - All projects are late. - Project managers mostly just update gantt charts and fill in excel sheets weekly. Good project management is more proactive and reactive and willing to get into the trenches if the project is derailed. - There are no postmortems or lessons to be learned after projects, so the same mistakes are repeated every time. There's no downside to the project managers for running projects poorly, so they have no incentive to improve.
