      Pros

      Making even the smallest positive difference in my peoples lives.

      Cons

      Very Stepford -Wifey sometimes, depending on program and supervisors . On the surface appears to be about underprivileged human beings...but it's really about mostly young, mostly non-ethnic over-achievers getting further and further ahead so they don't have to do this work anymore. Discourages me.

      Great PTO and overall benefits package Friendly coworkers Good experience and exposure to the field, for those starting out at the entry-level.

      Cons

      Absolutely no training at all for an “Entry Level” position. Supervisors can have attitudes at times and little to no patience for new hires and their questions. They encourage questions and asking for help, but are never available to do so or give little explanation on things. Lack of communication between upper level supervisors. Employees are overworked and certainly underpaid. A completely unorganized work environment.

      excellent benefits and a great amount of time off

      NO support from administration nor Regional Director of Health and Nutrition Services - she is a mean, vindictive, back stabbing, INCREDIBLY insecure woman who has outlived her usefulness
