Pros
Some excellent colleagues, complimentary lunches, and valuable learning opportunities in certain areas.
Cons
The workplace culture is heavily influenced by personal politics, where advancing often seems contingent on building favor with higher-ups. There appears to be a preference for higherups when it comes to time at the company or plain conventional attractiveness which creates an unbalanced dynamic. Leadership, including the President, has been known to make inappropriate remarks about staff, fostering an environment where gossip circulates easily due to the small company size. While the organization prides itself on being woman-owned and supportive, there are noticeable pay disparities between men and women, reminiscent of outdated practices. Additionally, some directors appear to be retained based on tenure rather than their contributions or value to the team. Overall, the company's culture and management practices leave much to be desired, creating a challenging and, at times, disheartening work environment.
