Company is full of psychopaths

Pros

Fruit and downtown location. If you're a psychopath you'll likely thrive here.

Cons

This is a dangerous place to start your career. Work environment at EDF is as toxic as it gets. Managers are immature passive-aggressive pathological liars. No real set processes exist. Everyone gossips. No one is anyone's friend. People consistently backstab. You have to play politics to get ahead; meritocracy does not exist. I feel for you if you're at this company.

Pros

Some great co-workers who were always there for each other. Free fruit... Literally nothing else good.

Cons

Wow where do I start: -EDF staffs lean. They expect 1 person to do the work of 2-3 people. -You are a replaceable number at EDF. Management does not care about you, at all. Only the bottom line. -IT systems and SCADA are garbage to save money. Not good for a trading environment where every second counts. -Turnover is a joke it's so bad. Real-time trading desks seem to never be fully staffed due to people constantly quitting for greener pastures. Don't waste your time taking a job here. You'll regret your decision. Find a place that appreciates your contributions and values you as a person.
