Pros

-Variety of projects offers a wide range of experience -Smaller company means you work with the owners -Nice office locations and benefits -Great clients -International and nationwide work -Hiring bonuses, bonuses for getting a new client, opportunity for salary growth each year. -You get hands on experience that you do not receive in a larger environmental firm where you end up pigeonholed. You have the chance to do everything from field work to design to office work.

Cons

-Inappropriate conversations and jokes from a senior management that doesn't realize that they come off as sexist, racist, and insensitive. -Understaffed, so upper level managers and senior staff end up working below their experience, which limits the chances for personal career growth. -Fickle atmosphere. Some people "make it" because they're liked by the higher ups, but not necessarily because they're talented. Others are placed up against impossible standards because they're not the "right fit," even though they have great experience, ideas, and talent in their field. -Unreasonable expectations for their employees to be involved in marketing while maintaining a 90%-plus billable work week. Unreasonable expectations for their marketing staff to have the experience commensurate to an engineer and scientist while also having the experience commensurate to a top proposal manager. -Poor handling of personal work issues from an HR standpoint - health problems, leaves of absence, performance issues are broadcasted to everyone. Gossipy atmosphere from senior PMs and owners/managers. -There is no set standard for anything- except for letterheads and reports- and even that is a stretch. Very hard to work for different managers with this lack of standards. -Interdepartmental bickering is distracting and disheartening for those whose superiors do not get along. -Too much overhead spending and not enough new work/backlog.

Pros

No positive comments about this company, very corrupt, very secretive and it seems that if you are not part of "the family" then your career with them is over before it begins.

Cons

It seems this corrupt organisation will prey on the weakest of people for there own selfish gains, perhaps one day world domination... I don't think. My advice is if you ever come across this company then back off and stay well away.

Pros

Nice office, but often impractical for field work. Medical is fully covered so that's cool. You learn a multitude of things making you a well rounded employee, but this is mostly because there is no one else to properly plan, organize, and schedule, so you learn the hard way; and end up doing it all with no guidance, even if you ask for it. Small company so if you have the personality and motivation to push through you can become a favorite and succeed. No micromanaging from management, usually.

Cons

Terrible company culture. Very fake and super shady people. Bosses don't care about their employees work-life balance or well-being, they only care about themselves and their time sheets. Very inappropriate language and culture in the office. Get ready to hear sexist, misogynistic comments. Employees are not valued and the CEO himself said that we are all disposable. Very unprofessional HR department. Tell one person something and the entire office will know within a few hours. There's an abundance of hyper masculine personalities, inappropriate conversations and jokes from senior management. If you don't fit this into this type of personality, get ready to pretend like all the others because your opposing opinions wont be respected and you will quickly become an outcast. Not open to any new or efficient ideas, very much stuck in their own mindset. This has resulted in a lack of standardization (for everything). This company does not condone a teamwork environment. Employees are often left confused (and managers silently unsatisfied) due to having to appeal to each manager differently. It can get exhausting having to please each manager differently and do what they want, exactly how they want it... without them telling you how they want it. Absolutely no positive reinforcement, and if you do something wrong, be prepared to never know. Managers will talk down to you and make you feel stupid for asking questions. There is either an overwhelming stressful work load all at once or no work to do at all. You have to get really good at pretending to be busy when there's nothing to do. And when there is something to do (out in the field), get ready to work a maximum 16 hour day with sometimes no lunch... and good luck finding a bathroom.
