Pros

Interesting client portfolio, dog friendly.

Cons

Epic Creative markets itself as one of the "best places to work," but my experience was far from that. The leadership lacks diversity, and unfortunately, it shows in the company culture, decision-making, and overall workplace dynamics. Office politics resemble something out of Mad Men—if you're not part of the existing boys' club, you're treated like an outsider until they find a reason to push you out. While there are talented individuals here, the environment doesn't foster inclusivity or genuine collaboration. If you're looking for a place that truly values diverse perspectives and fairness in opportunities, this may not be the right fit.

Pros

EPIC provides some nice employee benefits – optional remote work two days per week and unlimited PTO among them. Those who work in the lower parts of the organization are mostly hard-working and very easy to get along with, both professionally as co-workers and socially as friends.

Cons

The organizational chart is very top heavy. Communication from leadership is severely lacking following the former CEO stepping back in the transition to retirement. There isn't a clear vision for the future of the company, aside from corporate buzzwords without an affirmative action plan to ensure all employees can be confident in their futures with the company. Career growth in some departments is non-existent. No clear action plan is set up, nor are measurable goals agreed upon in reviews to provide for a clear path for promotion and growth. The keyword for a long time was velocity, work hard and keep the foot on the gas. But oftentimes the silos of department work couldn't be blended for the benefit of the client. Meanwhile, work within departments doesn't seem to balance out too often; some are very busy while others are looking for work.
