Pros

The owners provide bagels on the first of each month. Pay is decent to start and you may find camaraderie with other employees who are as miserable as you are working there.

Cons

Great place to work at if you're republican, don't recycle and enjoy being made to feel as though you are completely expendable. Other reviewers were right on the money with their reviews. Favoritism is huge with owners and management, but doesn't grant you a free pass. They will turn even on their favorites at the drop of a hat. No one has job security, everyone is expendable and they make sure you know it. Hard work is rewarded by adding more to your plate with little to no compensation. Promises of hiring additional help, bonuses, raises and promotions are made with little intention of keeping them. Most often what happens is the turnover rate is so staggeringly high that they can't logically keep those promises as they're constantly asking employees to take on more than they can handle to make up for the fact that no one is happy working there and would jump at the chance to leave. You will hear about people quitting, just not showing up or getting fired weekly, and for such a small company, it's alarming. Employees are expected to work overtime and weekends with little to no notice. You are expected to make ETS a priority and if you express the feelings that your family or home life are more important, don't plan on being employed for very long. Benefits aren't great and you can't even get them for more than a year after you work there as all employees go through a temp agency for 6 months or more and then must wait another 6 months to be eligible for benefits. You only get 7 days of PTO each year and that includes sick and vacation time. There used to be company picnics and company holiday parties, but they employees were made to feel as though they had a choice to have those parties or get bonuses. When in fact, not only were all the parties canceled, but bonuses were cut as well. Owners and managers have no filters. They say rude, offensive things with little to no regard to employee's feelings or rights. When an error is made, managers of each department prepare for war to get the blame passed to someone else. There is a huge divide between departments and managers will go out of their way to prove that another department and it's staff are useless, dumb and don't work as hard as their department. In addition, there is poor communication between management and owners and employees are often put in the middle of it. It creates an incredibly hostile work environment.

Pros

Learning a few new skills to add to a resume if you don't have much professional experience and the basics of a promotional company.

Cons

This company hires people and then treats them horribly. The CEO will jump to conclusions and bring entire teams in to the conference room to yell at them. He has an extremely short fuse. The management is chosen by how friendly they are to the CEO. This company will fire you if they don't like you, if you have children that get in the way of them wanting to make you stay for overtime or if you don't say yes to working overtime days and weekends. They have an extremely high turnover rate. There is a small handful of people that have been there long term, but there is mostly a 1 to 2 year limit. You cannot take a vacation from September through December, and time off is extremely hard to take. Taking anytime off is seen as a negative, even if it is for a major life event. The reviews, if they happen, are done very poorly. There is no career growth conversations or an explanation of how to grow within the team. They teach the basics to do your job and that is it. The management is not trained, the morale is low and the employees are constantly walking on egg shells. This company makes millions because of how hard their employees work, but the only ones being rewarded are sales and upper management. There is no respect for the other employees. The company simple does not care about its employees unless they are sales people or upper management. The health benefits are minimal and very expensive. There is no culture here, and I am sure the CEO would laugh if someone asked him about creating one for the company. The upper management, along with the CEO, have inappropriate conversations in front of other employees.

Pros

The insurance is good. Bagels once a month.

Cons

You may get bagels once a month but you pay for them with your dignity and self worth. Everyone is expendable here, from the VP of sales to the entry level customer service reps. There is little to no camaraderie. Departments don't work well together because the managers of each department wont define job roles for their employees. That way they can always play the finger pointing game to avoid accountability. The owners make you feel like terrible people. They commonly offer verbal abuse in lieu of positive acknowledgment. They put people in positions of power who have no experience in the position leading to misuse of managerial power and bad decisions. They do not usually have an HR manager and have not been able to keep one employed for longer than three months at a time. The entire job, excluding the art department, is all grey area when it comes to making decisions. Then you have to make decisions on the fly and just hope you make the right choice otherwise you are a " moron", "a cancer to your team" or possibly told you are poison. They will continue to pile work on top of you then when you start making mistakes because you are too over worked that's your fault too. The owners reward the people they like instead of the people who do most of the work. They cut Christmas bonuses and stated it was because they bought a new building and new printing machines. Items that would make them more money, they used the bonus fund from their employees to purchase. They will offer promotions to employees but they come without raises. You have to prove your worth in the position for a year before getting paid a reasonable wage for the promotion you received. They have more employees than parking spaces so if you are not one of the first people to get to work you have to walk two blocks and then cross a busy street where accidents happen quite frequently. Getting an assigned parking spot is considered a benefit. You get 7 days PTO but you will never be able to actually request a full 7 days off at a time. There is a reason they hire on a GROUP of people at a time because they know that maybe one person will stay. Save yourself, don't apply here.
