      Ecoplexus doesn not value or take care of their employees and client/land owners.

      Cons

      There is no HR at Ecoplexus. I worked for 6 years and never really knew exactly what I was working for. Contracts remained constantly up in the air and when I signed one, CEO didn't want to pay what was owed and would change even though contract stated otherwise. I helped grow Ecoplexus with the projects I acquired from a start up to a top 10 developer in the US. I procured over 1 gw of projects and to get out of paying me my commissions and moneys owed, they let me go. Ecoplexus also put me in many positions to constantly improve owner relations after they did not pay option moneys on time or just couldn't get an honest update on projects. I stayed in belief I was a part of something and we were going through growing pains, my patience would be rewarded. I was sorely wrong. I brought so much value to the company and never was acknowledged or compensated for my work. I sent the CEO an email summarizing my work for them and overall experience there. He could not be bothered to even reply.

      I managed this site acquisition contractor while at Ecoplexus and we appreciated all his contributions to the company. Unfortunately this person didn't fully grasp contract negotiations and struggled to keep his land owners up to date as well as manage internal real estate processes and documents. That resulted in a sub-optimal outcome for himself and the company in some cases, including land owners who weren't paid option payments on time because this person did not record things in a timely manner. There are of course always things which the company can improve in and we strive to do so. This person was paid in full for all the contractual incentives due to him for sites that he worked on. We encourage all candidates to apply and meet or speak with many staff and have any concerns or questions answered which may stem from erroneous posts.

      Horrible place to work

      Pros

      Learning about the solar industry. That's about it. There is nothing else good about this company. You can use experience here to go work at a different solar company that is well run and cares about its employees.

      Cons

      Where do I start. First, the CEO lives full-time in Thailand and runs the company from there. The President gives you absolutely no direction. Neither of them communicate well, and they don't care about your career or career growth. They're in this business to make a buck and couldn't care about their employees. 40% employee turnover in the last year is testament.

      While Ecoplexus does its best to support and grow its employees, we also have high standards for performance and accountability. The company appreciates any comments, good or bad. However, this review contains material misinformation. In this case, there was a cultural and performance issue with this former employee. Ecoplexus does not, and has never had significant employee turnover, and continues to rapidly grow in the US and Internationally. The company has 4 International offices and business, requiring a distributed, and technology connected workforce and pace. We invite any interested candidates to meet with any staff in any position or any office and ask them first hand about their experience with the company. Many of our employees are also shareholders, and we welcome direct questions about management's and the company's objectives.

      Pros

      Ecoplexus is a company of great people. Overall management has taken time to hire individuals that will maintain a culture of high quality, results oriented professionals that are a pleasure to work with. Organization is a "matrix" meaning that you get to work on projects across multiple disciplines and regions, gaining a ton of experience in a short amount of time.

      Cons

      The Ecoplexus way is to run "lean and mean" which means that workload is high, and moving up in the company is not an option since you would leave too big of a hole. The only way to move up is to move on. As mentioned in another review, the company is vary top heavy with a relatively small team performing the bulk of the process work and a large number of managers and directors that like to manage and not do.
