Pros

Great place to start, just try to keep it to between 18 and 24 months, after that you are just spinning your wheels. A few great employees, but most are looking to find a "real" job and aren't giving 100%.

Cons

Extremely high turn over rate, low wages, not much opportunity to advance. A lot of people are just punching the clock and doing just enough work not to get fired. Most middle management has no experience being a part of management so things are run like fast food restaurant. The business is being run into the ground, but as long as it turns a profit, the train will keep going.

Pros

A lot of nice people work here. Many want direction and to help the greater good and success of all.

Cons

CEO often struggles to write or communicate a coherent message/email or *motivational* story or vision. Exec management doesn't seem to know how to hire leaders of people or technology or ESI just hires CEO's friends. Then there is a trickle effect down of bad management selections, which effects every facet of the business. This has resulted in chaos, confusion and lack of teamwork & respect due to Executive Managers unintelligible, random hires & promotions of folks without clear vetting or job descriptions even written in many cases. HR is ineffective and complacent to the good ole' boy, low morale culture. Not a true technology company. Employees asked to write "good" reviews on here, whether true or not to bolster company image instead of earning it the right way.

Electronic Systems Response

Thank you for recognizing the many great people who work for our company – we are proud of all of our employees from the newest to the many with 20+ years with ESI. Some of your other feedback was surprising and disappointing. As an employee who worked here for more than three years, you know that in 2016 we had our best year ever and, as part of the sales team, you benefited and celebrated with your colleagues. We are on track in 2017 to have another great year thanks to our customers and employees. This is in sharp contrast to some of our competitors who have been engaged in massive layoffs over the past six months. In response to your other concerns, I would like to share some facts with our readers to set the record straight. In the past 18 months we have promoted internally and hired a total of 19 managers, with average industry experience of over ten years per manager. While not visible to all employees, we use a multi-step, rigorous selection process in selecting our managers. We are a top-tier partner with all of our major vendors – HP, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, and others – which is accomplished by proving technical competence, good business practices, and excellence in customer service year after year. Our company has a great team and if you would like to know more about us, let’s talk!

Pros

They will hire you right out of college, with no experience, and no competence needed. My dog could get hired here--just have to be young and somewhat attractive. They like people with debt too so they have more power and control because you need to make money...even though the pay is not good. Everyone is miserable so you'll have people that understand why you hate your life and people to complain to. Leaving was the best decision I ever made and I love my new job.

Cons

The positive reviews are from upper management and the recruiter. They send out emails when someone posts negative comments and ask people to write something positive. Then when no one does, they get on and write it themselves. The negative reviews are the truth! My sales increased and my overall income decreased, year over year, even though they kept changing the comp plan 'for the better'. They don't care about their employees-actions speak louder than words. Talk is cheap and so is ESI. People that stay are complacent and too lazy to look elsewhere, or are old. The majority of the sales team has less than 3 years experience, for a reason. Stay away. Far, far away.
