Good people, fun company... bad career development

Pros

The Agency culture is great... very flexible, lots of happy hours, snacks, socializing. Most of the people are good, nice people. Fast paced environment. Good benefits. The work is interesting, things are always happening. The new space is pretty nice, definitely makes it easier to interact with everyone.

Cons

Not a lot of career growth in my department. Agencies have a reputation of being cheap in the salary department... Have to say I agree - unorganized in the review/salary increase department... Questions to answers employees have often tend to be non-answers.

Pros

Some great people in some departments. Good Benefits

Cons

Lack of knowledge of all upper management what is really going on with their employees and each other. LOW pay. Gossip central. Greedy on Raises. Review process is a joke. Say they are a balance work/life company but make you work long hours for crappy pay because they won't hire more employee's to help in each department.

Pros

I met good people here. Office perks were great pre-Covid.

Cons

Do yourself a favor and don’t work here. And I know it’s easy to hide behind a screen and type this but I don’t say this lightly. I worked here for a few years. I was so excited to work at a cool indie (at the time) shop that was winning awards. The people seemed nice. The work was challenging. There seemed to be good opportunities. Then after a few months I started to realize something didn’t feel…professional. I and others were constantly talked down to. If you were a jr or mid level you were never taken seriously. Zero creative leadership. Zero mentorship. Some of the creative directors picked favorites and made it obvious they didn’t like you. The CCO at the time felt unavailable. In fact, they can’t even keep a creative leader around. You will be constantly gaslit by the creative resource manager. I’m honestly shocked that person is still getting away with the way they treat people. I left several years ago and I still have some PTSD from my time there…to the point that my view of other jobs I had after I left were skewed because I was used to such an unprofessional and unorganized environment. I used to think certain departments had better results and working environments but I think at this point it’s all bad.
