Terrible experience - Hostile work environment

Pros

convenient location off metro stop

Cons

Professional development opportunities, guidance, mentoring and basic management are lacking Contrary to their website, the firm handles strictly patent prosecution for a single client. As a result, associate attorneys have little to no involvement in patent strategy or exposure to patent litigation or trademark work Often a hostile work environment with infighting between the partners High turnover among associate attorneys I’ve learned of at least one major IP headhunter that refuses to send attorney clients to S&K due to their unprofessional work environment.

Please note that this one individual continuously re-posts a highly negative review every few months in an attempt to damage this firm. This is not a new reviewer.

Pros

Compensation is the best thing about this place because you get paid very well for commodity work.

Cons

Everything else - note all of the "disgruntled employees" on this site. If I were reading this, I would wonder - maybe the problem is the firm? The partners are very temperamental and will fire employees on a whim. The partners fight among themselves and this is a terrible working environment.

Welcome back, you havent attempted to defame our firm in a couple of months. It is not possible for a firm to fabricate reviews, as they check emails of firm employees, but not outside reviewers. Anyway, we strongly suggest that you find a satisfactory job, spend time with your family, and move on with your life. Best regards, the happy Stanzione firm employees.

Pros

I have worked at Stanzione & Kim, LLP for more than a year, and have learned more about intellectual Property Law here than at any other law firm in the past. The managing attorney has quite an extensive amount of experience in patent prosecution, and spends much time reviewing and mentoring others in order to produce the top-quality work Stanzione & Kim has been recognized for. The environment is casual and friendly. The benefits package, including a retirement plan, is the best in the business. This firm goes above and beyond matching contributions to a 401K plan, and provides full benefits to each employee. There is always more than enough work in different and challenging technologies for those willing to learn and grow with the firm.

Cons

The type of work is very challenging, so it requires focus, dedication, and devotion to learning - much more so than at other law firms.
