Pros
Unlimited PTO, tend to promote from within, and compensation is decent.
Cons
There is an underlying culture that you are useful and "family" till you're not. Multiple times I have seen someone go from the "it" person to gone, and the story moves from he/she is essential to we are better off without that person. Most recently, this occurred in a large scale layoff. It creates an mistrust that permeates through the work.
