Pros

Working at 10 Acre Ranch has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career. The organization is deeply mission-driven, and every team member—clinical, medical, and support staff—is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals in recovery. As Program Director, I’ve had the privilege of helping shape a culture rooted in accountability, empathy, and growth—not just for our clients, but for our team as well. Leadership is approachable and receptive to innovation. There’s a strong emphasis on ethical standards, compliance, and continuous improvement, which provides a sense of structure and integrity in the work we do. I’ve also appreciated the investment in professional development, trauma-informed training, and opportunities to expand culturally competent care models, especially for underserved communities. Our facility is pet-friendly and community-oriented, and we take pride in creating an environment that feels like home for both staff and clients. It’s a fast-paced environment, but you’re surrounded by passionate people who believe in what they do.

Cons

As with any behavioral health setting, the work can be emotionally taxing. However, strong peer support and regular staff check-ins help mitigate burnout. I’d also love to see continued expansion in benefits offerings and wellness resources for staff.

Pros

clients are great staff and treatment team are exceptional free range to run own group small

Cons

no benefits, none, zilch. minimum pay for the amount of work. you will be expected to do everything, trash, cooking and laundry included with clerical, case management and transportation confrontational management, speaking about "choosing sides" and "with us or against us" owner and admin yelling so loud at each other you can hear through the doors poor use of finances that make the facility look extremely dirty rats. yes, rats do live there "because its close to the river" does not observe holidays nor holiday pay, you will be expected to work does not observe overtime pay, it's expected that you be grateful be prepared to have your ethics challenged use you then let you go. no remorse, no thanks for the help allegations of pending lawsuits. high turn over for such a small staff. really sad injured on the job? no workers comp. Illegal you say?? no long term employment, unless you like being walked over, then you'll be fine expect to be available on your days off. not available? "you're not being of service" the very bare minimum of maintenance of the horses and dogs. very sad owner in known in the recovery community of having a silver tongue and a rattle ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- despite all these cons and you still apply for employment here, good luck, please take care of yourself and C.Y.A.
