- Project-based consulting may not be suitable for some people's lifestyles (less benefits than a full time opportunity, less consistency, etc.)

Good pay, decent work-life balance if you are able to advocate for yourself. You get to work with MBB/Big4 firms without the negative up-or-out pressure

No real career progression available (you're just outsourced to other consulting firms) so the people responsible for your promotions aren't actually the ones you're meeting with day to day or producing the work for
