Pros

Limited positive aspects identified during my employment

Cons

The workplace environment lacked appropriate leadership support and had a significant negative impact on staff wellbeing and professional confidence. Communication from management was often dismissive and belittling, with limited guidance, support, or constructive feedback provided to staff. Rather than offering advice or assisting employees to develop their skills and understanding, interactions were frequently focused on criticism. When I commenced employment, there was little to no onboarding process in place. Opportunities for shadowing, training, or gradual learning were not provided, despite there being an expectation that staff should already know how to manage the role and responsibilities. There was also minimal support provided in relation to client handovers, which made transitioning into the role more difficult. Overall, the primary challenges within the workplace stemmed from poor management practices and a lack of adequate leadership and support.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review for the third time. Interestingly, the original version of your review, which remained publicly available throughout your entire employment, described 2b Inclusive as having an "extremely supportive" workplace environment, with "resources and training provided by the leadership team" being "second to none". You also noted that staff would be "supported" and "not overworked". We appreciate that views may change over time and hope that expressing your perspective has provided you with some closure.

Pros

With a few months there, I can honestly say my experience so far has been really positive. The training has been excellent (ONE WEEK, yep that's right and every Monday to keep learning), with lots of information I never received in previous roles. People have taken the time to sit with me, talk through my clients, and answer my questions. Everyone has been welcoming and happy to teach and support each other. There are plenty of opportunities to meet the team through the reset day, and little things like goodies and sweets make you feel appreciated. I also really enjoy learning from an Aboriginal Elder about Aboriginal culture, which is always a great experience. Yes, you are expected to do your job and do the right thing, but there is plenty of support to help you succeed. Coming from a very different workplace, I really appreciate the positive environment there. The team is relaxed, supportive, and genuinely wants to help you learn. I'm looking forward to staying there for a long time.

Cons

Too many sweets.... and goodies...

Pros

Supportive team environment. Management genuinely cared about participants and staff. Strong focus on ethical practice and doing the right thing. Clear expectations and professional standards. Staff reset days were a great way to connect with colleagues. Good workplace culture. Participant outcomes always came first. I worked here for about a year and had a really positive experience. The team was supportive, friendly, and genuinely cared about achieving the best outcomes for participants. There was a strong focus on professionalism, ethical practice, and accountability, which I think is exactly what you want in this field. Management set clear expectations and always put participants first. They were also supportive when I made the decision to move into a different career path and treated me with respect throughout the process. Reading some of the negative reviews was surprising because they don't reflect the workplace I experienced. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but from what I saw, the organisation simply expected staff to meet professional standards, act ethically, and take responsibility for their work. Those expectations were applied consistently and were always centred around providing quality support to participants. No workplace is perfect, but my experience was overwhelmingly positive. I learned a lot during my time there, worked with some great people, and would happily recommend the organisation to others.

Cons

The expectations and accountability can be challenging for some people.
