So many, which is why I encourage you to read the other reviews as well. The negative ones are all well-said and true, while all the positive ones are fake-outs posted by HR to do damage control and bump the score up. In fact, the real review score for the company should be much, much lower.
Here's some cons and new updates from the top of my head:
- In a laughable new development, they have made 'Culture Fit' a part of employee year-end evaluations as a way to silence any dissenting or 'difficult' employees who have opinions or like to speak up. And it's not a minor aspect to the review too: it has the ability to bring down your evaluation by a whole tier, heavily affecting your pay-out.
- Another reason why this is hypocritical: 2X itself has long strayed from the original values it used to uphold. People in 2X used to matter and used to come first, but now the organization has become nothing more than disposable cogs in a greedy, money-hungry machine that aims only to expand and grow like a cancerous tumour without letting their main source of labour reap any of the benefits whatsoever. Our work used to matter (WE used to matter), but now we've been reduced to nothing more than numbers on a data sheet and slices on a pie chart that's beholden to the whims and small cruelties of the US management.
- To add to that, the latest news on the grapevine is that they've been discreetly paying out bonuses, but not to all eligible employees. Only those who they like. The special, favourite ones if you catch my drift.
- Morale is lower than ever. Employees are jaded, hollow, and desperately coping to survive in a system that insists on continuously sabotaging us at every turn. People don't care about finding meaning in their work or celebrating the little wins — they're only here still because the current job market is trash.
- And the best part? Those on top know that we have no where else to go. Of course they do. That's why everyone on top has gotten away with what they have for so long.
