Pros
This job gave me a great start back into full time work to what I wanted to move up to later on in my career which I will always be grateful for. The job was a learning curve more from a business perspective so It did advance my skills, Was great to have good connections with head office and other centres around to ensure consistency across board which slowly started to diminish with hand over of managements over the years sadly, but I did enjoy my time there especially the first 3 years.
Cons
The swift turnover in management and staff. Long days if the right staff are not on shift as in the ones who took pride in their work and not just a quick job. Working a lot of weekends which was usually the case but centre and assistant managers had a fair few off leaving team leaders to open/close (this maybe different since I have left) The training wasn’t always as robust as it was when I first started which was a shame as this was the making of the place in my opinion with handbook scripted procedures in place but this was soon forgotten about as the years went by. The brand what always stood for being not like any other soon turned into this sadly, from being unlimited play to set sessions and cleanliness which has since declined dramatically.
