Pros

-The students are great. -The creative environment was fun. -Some of my co-workers were really good people.

Cons

-Lots of unpaid time between working (no paid drive time when half of your day driving to and from sites. -Nepotism -Look at how often they post about hiring wordslingers. They have very high turnover rates -Doesn't pay enough -Wordslingers/workshop facilitators are doing the work 916 Ink claims to care about (serving the children in writing workshops) yet resources given to Wordsligners do not reflect this. -Unfocused leadership. -Lack of wisdom from management -Bitter higher ups will take things out on you if they can get away with it. -The HR rep had personal connections to some of my other coworkers. I felt like I couldn't speak up about things that happened to me.

Pros

I have never felt more fulfilled in a workplace than at 916ink. The impact we make in the Sacramento community is truly inspirational and so important. I have worked and been in a few different roles in the Find Your Voice Program, and have enjoyed each and every part of it. Having the executive director be easily accessible, a management staff that has cohesiveness, an amazing group of staff members that all are passionate and care about the work we do, our diverse and exceptional board members, tons of professional development opportunities, and more. I feel supported, appreciated, and happy in my role, and would encourage anyone to apply to work with us.

Cons

High risk of burnout because everyone is so connected to the work they do.
