Pros

I love working at A New Leaf because it’s more than a job. I am part of a larger mission to create a strong, healthier community. As an employer, A New Leaf is special because of its culture of care, which includes a collaborative and supportive team of leadership and colleagues, meaningful and impactful services to the community, opportunities for professional growth, and respect for work/life balance. The agency prioritizes compassion for its employees and the people it serves, and the mission feels authentic. When A New Leaf says they care about dignity, equity, and inclusion, it shows in policy, practice, and the way staff and clients are treated.

Cons

Like many nonprofits, resources are sometimes stretched thin, but the team’s commitment helps overcome it.

Pros

A New Leaf is an amazing organization to work for. They are very understanding if you have personal life going on and need to flex days. They give you any training you may need to take you experience to another level. Everyone is compassionate, friendly and understanding of A New Leaf's mission. I love coming to work every day knowing we all are doing great work to help all that need it.

Cons

Only con is that we have to see how many individuals are effected by homelessness, abuse and poverty.

Pros

A New Leaf overall helps thousands of people every year. Workers are compassionate, involved, and eager to help.

Cons

As a non-profit organization, they were very quick to eliminate positions and rarely offered the opportunity to transfer to another department. Employee turnover is either very long (20+ years) or very short.
