Pros
Big show name looks good on your resume. It's considered steady work for production when you work two seasons a year, You get to meet tons of people in other departments, free catered food on show days! You can befriend celebs if you care about that sort of stuff!
Cons
Lots of people fail up, very thankless job, mostly get hired on as a freelance so no benefits no time for a social life unless you just hang out with coworkers, everyone is nice to you until you don't work there anymore and then you no longer exist. Six day work weeks leaving your days off to do laundry.
