Pros
If you just graduated from masters, need hours towards your license, or are need extra money ABC is great. You can maintain one youth on your caseload if you want. Typically kids are available from 2:30-8:30 PM and that’s when you will work. You’ll give an update to their case manager or BA if they have one, make a weekly progress note, complete their treatment plan. It’s a really good gig ans I cannot complain. No mileage reimbursement, benefits, and need to print your own notes monthly (paper, ink) to send to main office. George, Linda, Lillian, and Amy are awesome and I highly encourage this place for anyone who is new to the field! You will learn at a very comfortable pace and fun environments. The kids are typically open to therapy. Monthly staff meetings are virtual and you have your choice between 4 they are great for learning or case reviews
Cons
No benefits or mileage reimbursement. Sometimes families will cancel and that means you won’t get paid or get the hours towards license. The only way to get your hours in two years is to work on Saturdays and Sundays otherwise it will take you a little longer.
