Remember this is a business, and you need to park everything else in your life at the door. This is exemplified by the tenure of outside sales and clinical staff. Prima facie things look quite nice. Once you pull back the curtain you will find a management that is relentless to growth, and "to me" at pretty much any price. The culture is work or get fired. This environment pits people against people, breeds a serious lack of trust and in the end, saving peoples lives (and you will) matters much less then the paycheck. Lastly. I have had recruiters see working at Abiomed as a negative because of the aggressive culture that ultimately shows up with customer interfacing.
