Pros
The overall working environment is generally friendly, with colleagues who are cooperative and willing to help. The general manager is approachable and open to suggestions, which creates a relatively low-barrier communication culture where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas.
For those early in their marketing career, the role provides exposure to a wide range of tasks, including administrative and ad-hoc responsibilities. This may be useful for building adaptability and understanding day-to-day marketing operations in a small team setting.
Cons
What was communicated during interview/offer stage regarding performance bonus was later changed. It was initially mentioned (and stated in the offer letter) that employees confirmed before July would be entitled to a performance bonus, but this was later changed to a company profit-based bonus with additional conditions tied to financial year timing. These details were not proactively clarified and only explained after follow-up.
Salary increment is also only applicable after completing a full year, even if the employee has worked close to it (like 11 months). Meanwhile, annual leave and medical claims are prorated, which feels inconsistent across policies.
Company policies were inconsistent and changed repeatedly. SEO training was initially promised but later withdrawn, and direction kept shifting without clear understanding of marketing fundamentals. Decisions often felt driven by whoever last suggested an idea rather than a structured marketing approach.
