Pros
2019 was a tough year for the company. The largest customer cut orders with no warning and there were layoffs. Despite this painful experience, management dig into how they needed to make changes to protect this from happening again.
I like that they are taking responsibility for putting all our eggs in one basket.
They have been really open about what changes they are making, even sharing financial performance and goals. Instead of “make parts as fast as possible,” there is a shift to a more thoughtful future. The CEO has made a lot of personal changes to his approach to problems, solving together instead of blaming. The team feels really cohesive and strong. The new vision is “Building Composites that build the future.”
Bravo!
Cons
The culture has always been like a family, but like a parent, management can be overly micromanaging capable employees.
No doubt, they are smart but it takes away the opportunity to learn from mistakes.
Set up a good system, train and let us show you what we are capable of!
