Pros
Exciting portfolio of projects, great benefits and salary. Easy to brag to your neighbors about what your company does. Building the new world trade center site? Yep. Masterplan for the Olympics? Yep.
Cons
AECOM's brand is now a jumbled presentation of buzzwords and that is somehow supposed to differentiate us from our competitors. Collaborate, innovate, expertise? Sweet, rally the troops. Your job is seemingly always at risk. As is somewhat typical in large companies, every couple years you'll start to see your colleagues disappear as management decides your neighbor in the cube next door was the reason a company with over 90,000 people was failing. Implemented ridiculous 9-box rating system where the direct manager assigns a numeric score based on performance which is then changed by a committee of upper-management and HR types who may never interact with you on a daily basis. All to meet a quota. My direct employees scores have consistently been raised/lowered in this manner.
