Leadership trusts people to do the task that must be done, and that trust gets repaid daily. There's no micromanagement culture here, there's an ownership culture. People consistently go above and beyond what's technically required of them, not because anyone demands it, but because solving hard challenges for customers is just how we operate. That's what's earned AES its reputation for exceptionalism. It's the compounding result of hundreds of individual decisions to do the job right.
Cons
Honestly, I've searched for one and come up empty... which I recognize is rare, and I don't say it lightly. If I'm forced to stretch: a culture this committed to going above and beyond means you should come ready to hold yourself to a high standard.
