Pros

Strong mid-level talent is underutilized — their expertise and judgment are routinely ignored

Cons

-Constant indecision and swirl from leadership that touches every part of the business, reinforced by VPs who won't push back -Consistent reactivity due to poor planning — priorities shift week to week -Slack is treated as the system of record, with no process or accountability for how information is shared -Leadership pushes AI adoption without understanding what the tools can actually do, often as a substitute for hiring instead of real support for the existing team -Comp adjustments are minimal year after year — merit increases as low as 1.5%, and bonuses are dangled with no actual payout

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. While your experience clearly led you to these conclusions, some of the statements reflect personal perceptions rather than the broader reality of how we operate. Like many growing companies, we've experienced periods of rapid change that have required us to adapt quickly. We've also continued to invest in strengthening planning, decision-making, leadership effectiveness, and the tools and processes that help teams do their best work. Regarding compensation, our approach balances recognition of individual contributions with the company's overall performance through a merit-based review process. We appreciate you sharing your perspective. Our Team Members also play an important role in shaping how we lead, communicate, and set priorities, and we encourage you to connect with your HRBP to share your ideas and be part of that effort.

Pros

A Message to Potential Hires: To those reading Glassdoor: read between the lines. Many negative reviews come from a place of resentment after a departure. AG1 is a place for those with a growth mindset. If you want mundane stability, look elsewhere. If you want to build and learn, this is the right "system" for you. Culture of Growth and High-Level Talent The People: You are surrounded by smart, capable individuals. The "humane" element of the culture is real—conversations with colleagues are grounded in empathy and authenticity, which is rare in a high-growth environment. Remote Flexibility: The WFH model is a massive win for quality of life. It trades "soul-sucking" commutes for high-output flexibility. Fail-Fast Mentality: The company genuinely embraces a "learn by doing" philosophy. If you’re a builder who likes to step out of your comfort zone, the tools and support are there for you to grow both professionally and personally. Leadership Support: Direct management (at the mid-level) is fantastic. There is a genuine investment in seeing employees succeed and providing the resources necessary to do the job well.

Cons

Growing Pains and Market Pressure Process Maturity: As the company scales, there is a clear "efficiency gap." Processes can feel immature or are not consistently followed across all departments, leading to unnecessary friction. Reactive Pace: The environment is fast-paced and can be highly reactive. The sense of urgency dictated by the market is constant, which may be overwhelming for those looking for a "stable, conveyor-belt" type of role. Top-Down Visibility: There can be a disconnect between top-level management and the daily reality of the workforce. While communication is frequent, the "ground-level" impact of certain decisions isn't always fully accounted for.

Pros

- Great brand from an external POV - A lot of ultra talented employees from the VP level on down - Fully remote

Cons

- C-suite that argues amongst themselves in front of teams and talks about each other behind their backs - CEO can't/won't make decisions or empower her teams to do so causing endless whiplash - CEO has zero relationship with anyone outside of her c-suite, no interest in the people doing the work - Constant lip-service about 'the work' and 'rigor' as if the 300 employees are simply input/output machines - No bonuses paid out for past 2 years (zero) - If you are external facing, you will need to be constantly recovering relationships, explaining away delays/indecision
