      Pros

      Good place to learn. Generally attracts nurturing people who will pass on their knowledge. Good place to start career. Emphasis on work life balance.

      Cons

      Very inconsistent management - seems to have ideas but does not follow thru. No real competitive advantage in marketplace. High multipliers required for project profitability. Firm has had a tough time transitioning from a small firm to a large firm. grew rapidly in the 2000's and I feel it over expanded. "AKF way" and "vision 2020" seem to be failures but management does not seem to be able to acknowledge it. Feels to be an up or out firm right now with people that go up just paying for senior / ex-partners retirement.

      Pros

      AKF was a pretty good first job out of college. Learned a ton, everyone around was willing to help teach. Lots of really cool and interesting projects. Lots of educational opportunities. They were open to letting you work on multiple teams if you were interested in various different things. They were very flexible with work from home and the office culture was very friendly, lots of fun events.

      Cons

      The pay was never great and did not seem like it would get better. Lots of burn-out and turnover, people were overworked, always stressed, not a lot of support or resources. Super sticklers about timesheets and money always seemed to be an issue.
