Pros

Fast paced and promotes fairly quickly given you have the right attitude and discipline to deal with the demanding physical workload. Most associates are very friendly and willing to lend a hand. Paid break. The pay is can be better than other grocery stores with pretty good benefits. Leaders are supportive (at least in my time work here)

Cons

Very physically demanding throughout the entire shift (except break time). You will be moving just about nonstop. The store will almost always feel busy considering the company’s business model runs on thin payroll margins. 3 to 4 employees in the store at any given time MAX. Maybe 5 depending on the market and sales volume of a store. District managers are usually out of touch with the day to day and nuances that come from working day to day in the store; They are usually hired on right out of college with this being their first real job for some.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
