It's hard work, believe me - Part Time Cashier ALDI Employee Review

Pros

The hourly pay is pretty good and there are bonus and raises, depending on how long you've worked there. We're not talking cents, but raises by the dollar! I came from a job that payed $8.75/hour for doing 3 jobs in one shift. I'm glad at the difference in pay. The insurance and benefits are great for full-time employees.

Cons

.The more people quit, the more work there is. The new-hires from other grocery stores expect to do one job the entire shift, like cashiering, or standing to greet customers at the door...That's why they can't keep up with the rest of us. They're used to doing basically nothing for lower pay. You lose insurance through the company once you go part-time. You'd have to find your own insurance.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
