Pros
ALDI is a company that really cares about its employees. We focus on our people so that our people can take care of our customers. Although it is a large company, it gives you the small family feeling. This is a great job coming out of college. The benefits and pay are unmatchable (unless you want to be working 100+ hours/week in banking), the people are hard-working, and the environment is challenging (in a positive way). I couldn't ask for a better company -- the autonomy that is given to us as DMs is beyond belief. We are able to set our own schedules, focusing on the stores and staff that continually need further development.
Cons
"With great power, comes great responsibility." As a DM, you are essentially a business owner and with most of us having 3-6 stores, it means that we own 3-6 businesses. We are the ones that store managers call when something goes wrong and we are responsible for everything and everyone inside those businesses. There are times of high stress, but the fact that this is a job that continuous to challenge and push me, i can't complain.
